Video Programming Guide

  • This video walks through all the settings you can adjust on your Vortex

Note: Mode transfers work between all products, Vortex to Vortex, Omega to Omega, and Omega to Vortex or Vortex to Omega.

User Guide 
Power on with the mechanical switch.
Controls Outside button Inside button

  1. Hold the button to enter various menus, the longer you hold the deeper into the menu list you go. 
  2. While holding, the LEDs will fill with a color one by one to indicate a menu.
  3. Release while the menu color is displayed to select that menu. 
This is the menu reference guide:
Randomizer
(White)
  • Automatically starts the auto-randomizer.
  • It will re-randomize every few seconds.
  • Press the outside button to save and exit.
  • Press the inside button to cancle and exit.
Color Select Menu
(Orange)
  • Each lit pixel represents a single color from this set.
  • Edit each slot individually.
  • Medium press the outside button to select a slot.
  • Medium press the inside button to exit.
Pattern Select Menu
(Blue)
  • The full list of available patterns.
  • Medium press the outside button to save the current pattern.
  • Mediuim press the inside button to cancle and exit.
Global Brightness Menu
(Yellow)
  • Select one of 4 global brightness settings.
  • This affects all mode slots at once.
  • Saved Colors are independant of global brighness.
  • Medium press the outside button to save and exit.
  • Mediuim press the inside button to cancle and exit.
Factory Reset
(Red)
  • Restores all modes to factory settings
  • These are the same settings you get out of the box!
  • Medium press the outside button while on bright red to factory reset.
  • Mediuim press the inside button to cancle and exit.
Mode Sharing Menu
(Teal)
  • Send or Receive modes on this mode slot.
  • Rapid flashing is Send.
  • Slow blink is Receive.
  • Medium press exits this menu

How to String your Vortex

Both sides will match throughout the process!
  1. Start by inserting your strings as shown, don't pull snug yet! 
  2. Next cross the strings as shown. Repeat on the opposite side. This improves stability.
  3. Tie the ends of String 1 together at about the length of your forearm.
  4. Tie the ends of String 2 together so that it is the same length as String 1.
  5. Pull the knotts as tight as possible then cut excess string.
That's it. You're ready to go! Be careful of your surroundings and do not use tension to spin at dangerous speeds. Push beyond the tested limits of the product at your own risk!

 

How to Update the Vortex

  1. Plug the Vortex into your computer.
  2. Double click the reset button.
  3. Drag and drop this firmware onto the flash drive that opens.
